I am 1 week away from joining one of Sea Shepherds campaigns in Africa as a medic for 3 months. In one of Africa’s largest network of marine protected areas. Sea Shepherd is assisting the Gabonese government in the combat against illegal, unreported and unregulated fishing.

Our oceans and it’s marine are dying from overfishing and habitat destruction. Poachers take marine life, destroy sanctuaries and continue illegal, unreported and unregulated fishing.

This campaign uses direct action to defend marine life on the high seas and works with national authorities to tackle illegal fishing in sovereign waters.

Sea Shepherd is a non-profit organisation which could not exist without the generosity of its supporters and donors. Every contribution big or small is greatly appreciated and goes straight to Sea Shepherd Global.

Our mission is to end the destruction of habitat and slaughter of wildlife in the world's oceans in order to conserve and protect ecosystems and specie.

Sea Shepherd is an international non-profit marine conservation movement using innovative tactics and direct action to defend, conserve and protect the world's oceans and marine wildlife. Founded by Paul Watson in 1977, today Sea Shepherd is a worldwide movement, with independent national and regional entities in over 20 countries united by a common mission through Amsterdam-based Sea Shepherd Global.
